Last week we celebrated Book Week. Wednesday was an opportunity for all the children and teachers to dress up as their favourite book character. This was a lovely event and gave us a chance to come together as a school and enjoy some fun. Though it is not an event that parents are required to attend, it was lovely to welcome those parents who had a bit of time to come and join us. We also had a talk from two celebrated children’s author Matt Stanton and Sue Whiting. Both Primary and Infants students enjoyed the talks and the parade. These events, along with the Premier’s Reading Challenge, are a way of engendering the love of reading in our students.
