The students will be decorating cakes in art lessons in the first week of November. The cakes will be put together to replicate this picture of the Bard. This is a school-wide celebration to mark the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth. Our chef Donna Moor has generously volunteered to make the nine huge slab cakes (one of which will be gluten free and vegan).
We will need lollies for decorating the cakes. PLEASE could the students bring in packets of lollies to the art room on their art day during the week of Monday 3rd- Friday 7th November. Suggested lollies needed are:
Liquorice
Liquorice allsorts
Bullets
Smarties
Freckles
Jelly Beans
Sprinkles
Assorted Cake sprinkles
2 boxes of Icing Sugar
Soft Jubes
The unveiling (and eating!) of the trestle-table-sized cake will take place at recess on Monday 10th November.
