The John Colet School community is having a Diwali celebratory evening on Saturday 26 October, 5 – 8pm.
Diwali is the festival of lights, celebrated across the world. Light is a metaphor for knowledge and consciousness. It symbolises the ‘victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance’.
There will be:
Entertainment (cultural performances, traditional indian dance, traditional music and more)
Amazing food (fantastic curries, samosa and more)
Indian markets (Indian jewellery, Indian food and more)
Children’s activities (Craft and games).
Tickets will go on sale soon. They will be priced to cover costs only. Thank you to our fantastic P&F for organising this event.
