Our Dance Program provides students in Years 3-6 with the opportunity to develop their dance technique, performance skills, confidence, creativity, and teamwork in a positive and supportive environment.
Students will train in Jazz and Lyrical Dance, working with an experienced instructor to develop their skills and prepare for performances and competitions throughout the year, including opportunities to represent the school at events such as the IPSHA Performing Arts Competition.
As places in the program are limited, students are required to audition for selection into the Dance Program. Auditions help ensure that students are ready for the commitment and performance opportunities associated with representing the school.
The program aligns with the values and ethos of JCS and encourages students to strive for excellence, demonstrate commitment and perseverance, work collaboratively as part of a team, and develop confidence through the performing arts.
