As mentioned earlier this term, the whole School is working together on the Alphabet for Humanity as part of our overall desire to make sure that the children use fine speech and utilise good vocabulary. A fine level of speech creates an atmosphere within the School which is conducive to building of good character and a safe and supportive environment. With the many influences on children through social media, gaming and television, it is important that we work continuously to ensure that children choose their words with care and respect for themselves and others.

Next week we are all looking forward to our annual Athletics Carnival. It is one event that we have not had to cancel this year and it will be a great opportunity for the children to get together and enjoy a day out. It is unfortunate parents will not be able to join us this year. The Carnival always offers every child an opportunity to show an aspect of character, and being a good athlete isn’t the only way to contribute. We often see examples of courage, determination and generosity of spirit. I am sure this year will be no different.
