There was mayhem and excitement in the Art room last week when children in the Infants school created wonderful animal figures during their training with Ceramics in Schools co-ordinator Kristen Taylor. Each student made a different ceramic up to the drying and firing stage. The cute pieces will be painted and fired again after the holidays. The children loved the tactile creative process. It was Lower First’s premiere visit to the Art Room and they loved it.
Meanwhile 3rd and 4th classes made beautiful painted eggs in Art this week.
All the artworks will be on display in classrooms at our Open Day on Sunday 20th May.
