On Wednesday, Primary had a visit from Graham Shute, a First Aider with the St John organisation. St John offer a free school programme to all children from 3rd to 6th Class. They provide a hands on session covering immediate responses to first aid situations, what to do if a friend falls over or has a nose bleed and basic bandaging for Stage 3 students. The children also learnt how to put someone into the recovery position. It was a lot of fun and there were plenty of opportunities to ask Mr Shute questions about basic First Aid and situations which may arise both here at school and in our homes.
