All parents are welcome to attend a free presentation by Michael MacDonald MA (Lon), MSc (LSE), MClinPsych (Macq), MAPS, MBPsS. Mike is a Clinical Psychologist with a private practice in Roseville specialising in child, adolescent and family work. He is a Clinical Supervisor for UWS, Macquarie University and Sydney University students and regularly consults with schools, the family court, professional, medical and community organizations such as Lifeline, and the Association of Independent Schools (AIS). In May 2012, Mike was the “keynote speaker” at the AIS and spoke on the topic, “What good things, great kids have taught me”.
He has previously taught or worked at Macquarie University Psychology Department, Macquarie University Centre for Emotional Health, Sydney University, the NSW Institute of Psychiatry, Knox Grammar School, Villawood & Baxter Immigration Detention Centres, Windsor Police Department in Canada, Macquarie Hospital, and in NSW prisons.
Mike holds MA degrees from The London School of Economics and Political Science, The Institute of Education at University of London and Macquarie University. He is a member of Australian and British Psychological Societies, and has an interest in trauma, attachment, neurophysiology, paediatric clinical hypnosis and narrative therapy.
