This week I had the great privilege of meeting with all 5th class children to discuss Meditation. We had a beautiful discussion about the benefits of pausing regularly at school. Many of the children spoke of how much it helps them during the day to settle and empty out. One girl gave a beautiful analogy of bathwater being emptied out of the bath. Congratulations to our new Lower First for such a steady start to the year, it looks like they have been here for a lot longer than two weeks! We look forward to seeing as many parents as possible at the Board of Governors Reception next Friday night. Many teachers will be holding their parent information meetings beforehand so it would be good if you could stop by before you leave. It is a good way for our new parents to get a sense of the John Colet community.
