Once again the Masquerade Party showed how the small but perfectly formed John Colet Community came together to raise money for the solar panels. We made a sizeable dent in the funds required by raising over $18k, which combined with the Walkathon money gets us to around half way towards the $42k target.
The evening was a fun and social affair with past and present parents and friends of John Colet. Indu B started the evening off by singing a prayer and John B did a brilliant job as our MC and Auctioneer, keeping us in stitches with his humour. Mrs Dunn and Mrs Renshaw gave heartfelt speeches of thanks to Mrs Donald and Mrs McKendrick and their replies were warm and humorous. The P&F presented them with gift vouchers for afternoon tea at Gunners Barracks. Of course an evening like this is not possible without the army of helpers who have been working hard behind the scenes for the last few months. Umina Camp 8-10 December – The P&F invite all John Colet families to join us for a relaxed weekend of family fun at the Umina Ocean Beach Holiday park.This is a wonderful gathering, that started off as a few friends getting together the first weekend of the summer holidays and has grown to a much larger event. It is organised by Claire J so talk to her for more information.
Trivia Night Cancelled this is just a reminder that we will not be holding the Trivia night in November instead it will be held in Term 1 2018.
