What a wonderful day we had on Sunday. It is a great opportunity for the John Colet community to come together and show what we can do as a collective. The classrooms all looked amazing, the children’s performances were brilliant, the stalls gave us such wonderful food and entertainment and we were blessed with glorious autumnal weather. It is the only day the whole school gets together as an extended family and it’s a great chance for us parents to catch up too. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, some of whom have moved on.
Of course this day wouldn t be possible without the myriad of help that happened behind the scenes prior, during and after the event. A big thank you to all the parents who staffed a stall and helped make this happen. With particular thanks to the following individuals for their assistance in creating a wonderful Open Day &
Lucy B for her tireless work behind the scenes pulling the whole event together and making it happen. These will be big shoes for somebody to fill next year but your systems and processes will make the task a little easier!
School parents Abi T, Christabel L-R, Stacy L, Dilpreet K, Debbi C and their team of Lower 1st Parents for their donation of ingredients and days of dedicated service in preparing huge batches of delicious Asian Street Food for sale as part of our lunch service on the day.

6th Year for their fun, interesting and varied games! We loved them all! And to the many parent who signed up on the doodle calendar to help on the day. Your help is what makes Open Day so special.
A big thank you to the administrative team who put in many hours work before, during and afterwards to making the day the success it was Belinda James, Alex Coubrough and Christine Condos. Thanks to all the teachers and teachers aides for the wonderful classroom displays. To Mr Miller for the beautiful singing, Mr Roslin and students for a find fencing demonstration, Mrs Emanuel for the brilliant Shakespeare performance. To Mrs Donald for coordinating the sewing club’s display and last but not least to Mr Aldo and his team of helpers for setup and taking down the equipment.
Hopefully you can enjoy a relaxed Sunday this week & next stop the Barn Dance!!
Kind regards
Niki & your P&F Team
