From the P&F Corner
The movie night was quite perfect. With around 40 families cosily ensconced in sleeping bags, vegan sausages on the BBQ, and a general atmosphere of joy, How to Train Your Dragon 2 took us to new heights of….something good. Special thanks to coordinators Linda and Laurie Z, BBQ-ers Marija and Kresho S and Chandra B, and tech support Jason C and Ray B.
Our very own City to Surf, aka ‘The JCS Walkthon‘ is just around the corner, with the kids ready to do lap upon lap of the oval on Friday 20th March. All funds raised will be put towards blackout curtains for the classrooms (~$14,000). The sponsorship form is available at the end of this newsletter. This is the only school fundraiser planned at this point, so please don’t hold back.
Camping Weekend: Save the Date! Some families have enjoyed wonderful camping trips over the years with other families at the school, and so the P&F are planning a camping / cabining weekend, open to all John Colet families, on 12-13 December 2015. More details in next week’s newsletter!
I believe the last P&F meeting went very well. Christine Condos’s taking of the pause deserves a special mention. Sorry I missed it!
