Science week is 13th to 17th August. The national school theme this year is Game Changers and Change Makers.
John Colet School will focus on plastics and how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
We shall be holding a competition for students on the best use of plastic rubbish that can be re-purposed into something for long term use or to find a plastic free solution to something we currently use plastic for. We plan to have both an Infants and Primary prize.
We are also looking to identify where students and families are currently using creative ways to cut down on our plastic use at school. An example is using old tea towels, re-purposed into a bag for bringing children’s plates and cups to school for our cooked vegetarian lunch each day.
