Head of School’s Comment

Last week in our newsletter I wrote of the importance and value of service, specifically as it applied to the John Colet Parents and Friends group. This week in a related vein I would like to acknowledge the work of our Board of Governors. This group is also made up of volunteers who give their time in the pursuit of the continued success and growth of our school. The Board of Governors plays an important role within our school, helping to guide, support, question and ultimately hold accountable the leadership within our school.

Tonight at 7:30pm John Colet School is holding our Board of Governors’ Reception. This is a time in which you can meet, interact, and discuss with them their vision for the future of John Colet. This event historically brings together many of our new families who are experiencing our school for the first time together with our existing parent group. If you are unable to make it tonight you may want to keep an eye out for any of the new parents around school and take the opportunity to welcome them. It can be difficult for parents as well as children joining a new community and your warmth will surely be appreciated.
