Head of School’s Comment

This week we welcomed our 2022 Lower 1st students for their introductory morning. There were only a few nerves (from students and parents!) upon separation, and they settled in very quickly to their new environment, and with their teachers Miss Marley and Mrs Tamborini. Our current 5th Class had the opportunity to meet their young buddies who they will be supporting next year. It was heartening to see the care and attention with which they approached their new responsibility. As I started at John Colet School in the same year many of our current 5th Class began Lower 1st, it has been wonderful to witness their growth in maturity and their eagerness to take leadership roles.
Our Buddy Program is a wonderful way in which to support our younger students. Forming connections from the top to the bottom of our school, as well as enabling our senior students the opportunity to give service in the same way they benefitted from so many years ago, is vital.
