We’re thrilled to share the exciting highlights of our IPSHA Athletics Carnival held on Wednesday, 30 August. With the sun shining brightly, the Olympic Park Athletic Centre in Sydney was the perfect setting for a day filled with athletic achievements and camaraderie.
A total of 14 students from 5th and 6th Class showcased their incredible talents in various track events. The spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition was palpable in the air, creating a fantastic atmosphere that energised both participants and spectators alike.
The day kicked off with the 100m sprints. Heart-pounding displays of speed and agility were witnessed, as students raced to the finish line, cheered on by their peers and parents. This was followed by the 800m run, where our young athletes demonstrated impressive endurance and determination, and then the 200m sprint finished off the day.
We’re immensely proud of all our participants who not only displayed their physical prowess but also their dedication to excellence. Each student’s hard work was recognised as they received well-deserved ribbons for their exceptional performances.
A huge thank you goes to Mrs Bhandari for organising the fantastic new athletics singlets, the organisers, and parents who contributed to making this event a resounding success. And let’s not forget the fantastic weather that added an extra layer of enjoyment to the day.
The IPSHA Athletics Carnival was not just about competition; it was a celebration of teamwork, perseverance, and the joy of sports. We look forward to more opportunities to come together as a community and support our young athletes in their pursuits. Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding achievements!
Please diarise our next sporting event, the John Colet School Primary Swimming Carnival, which will take place on Thursday, 15th February 2024 at Ku ring gai Aquatic Centre, Pymble.
