This week 3D rolled out their geo-metropolis, complete with futuristic buildings made from 3D shapes.  They also investigated the traditional methods of creating ice cream (before freezers and fridges) by cooling the mixture over a salty ice-bed or brine.  We learnt that the salt lowers the temperature and freezes the ice cream mixture more rapidly than just ice or a freezer.
