When talking to your children about food and nutrition, always use a positive voice and facial expressions. Talk to them about feeling good and being healthy with fresh food and exercise. 

Try not to talk to young children about your own personal dislikes of any food types - this empowers them to dislike foods themselves. 

Always talk about the fun, good feelings and energy it gives them to get up and do the things they love. 

Finally, always try and involve them in some part of the cooking process, even if it is simply their meal choice.
