Our Year in Sport

The School again took part in the PISA sports competition (Peninsular Independent Sports Association). This long running competition between 8 schools always produces the best in our pupils; they consistently show good sportsmanship towards each other and to the other schools. CricketThe Senior Boys worked hard during the Cricket Season and kept on improving week by week, overall the boys can be happy with 3rd place on the table. SoftballThe Senior Girls were very competitive and had some excellent results, ending the season in 4th place. CBCA Lunch with the Stars!

Eight of our budding authors and avid readers from 6th class enjoyed a very special event this week.  On the ‘Hogwarts-esque’ site at ICMS, the Children’s Book Council of Australia hosted an amazing day for students from 20 different schools from around the Northern Beaches. The students were seated for lunch with Australian author Kate Forsyth and had the opportunity to meet and talk with 20 other authors and illustrators.  We were treated to a keynote address from author Tim Harris who spoke about his writing inspirations and participated in an illustration workshop lead by Matt Cosgrove.  The girls declared it was the best event they had been to all year!!  Mrs Slaven  …

Our Shakespeare Festival Playbill for Primary students

The benefits of stillness – by an 8 year old

I strongly believe that stillness is a great value because it clears your mind. Would you like it if you were always frustrated and angry all the time? Stillness clears our mind to take our thoughts to the next thing we are about to do and it calms your body down if over-excited.
