Our Year in SportThe School again took part in the PISA sports competition (Peninsular Independent Sports Association). This long running competition between 8 schools always produces the best in our pupils; they consistently show good sportsmanship towards each other and to the other schools.
The Senior Boys worked hard during the Cricket Season and kept on improving week by week, overall the boys can be happy with 3rd place on the table.
The Senior Girls were very competitive and had some excellent results, ending the season in 4th place.
The Junior Boys had a fantastic season and can count themselves very unlucky to finish runners up missing out on the silverware by just 1 point.
The Junior Girls had a very good run, were very determined and finished well-placed in 4th position.

The Junior Boys entered two teams for the first time in many years. They trained well and gained some valuable experience finishing in 4th and 5th place respectably.
With a lot of interest in the sport the Senior Girls entered two teams for the first time ever. Both teams were excellent with plenty of success stories. Both teams came 3rd in their divisions.
The Junior Girls had a couple of excellent wins against much bigger schools and can be proud of coming 5th in a very strong competition.
The Senior Boys played Tag for the first time in PISA this year. We were hampered a little bit with injuries to key players. However the boys never gave up, finishing a respectable 5th place.
Rugby Modified League
The Junior Boys found the Rugby tough, but they carried on improving and gaining a better understanding of the sport. Many were playing Rugby for the first time. They ended the season winning their last match, well done!
We had our now yearly encounter with Newington Prep at the end of May. Both the Junior and Senior teams did fantastically well; winning one match and just losing the other by a single point.
Thank you and well done to all the pupils and all the sports staff for making this such an enjoyable year again on the sports field.
