3rd Class B (pictured above) and 3rd Class I have been looking at the John Colet community and the history of the school at Wyatt Avenue. The children constructed a timeline based on research and interviews they conducted with long-serving members of the staff about the school. Using this information as well as photos and sources from the archives the children each created a five year snapshot of the school from 1995-2018. A group of children also researched the Traditional Land Owners in the area, the Guringai people. This group gathered information about culture, traditions and practice.
The children worked hard and have created beautiful timelines that reflect the history of the school and the land on which it stands.
