On Thursday 4th Class went to visit Hyde Park Barracks and The Endeavour. It was a fantastic opportunity to put all our historical knowledge and learning from last term into some hands on activities!
We learnt how to make bricks just like the convicts, dressed up in convict clothes and tried to snooze in the hammocks! The Endeavour was fascinating as we saw Joseph Banks’ and Captain Cook’s cabins and learnt about life on board the ship. It was very cramped below decks and we were all quite relieved to climb back up the stairs!
