John Colet School continues to offer Mandarin lessons after school for Infant students (Year 3 and below) and Senior students (Years 4-6). The students are learning how to communicate using one of the top spoken languages in the world, and enjoying the benefits of starting young. Classes cover the language, history, culture and making new friends.
In Term 1 there will be two classes starting in Week 4 for 7 weeks. The Infant Class is on Wednesdays 3-4pm and the Senior Group is on Thursdays 3-4pm. The term fee is $70 per student.
The Infant Group will learn about greetings, family, numbers, songs/games and basic speaking. The Senior class will learn more on how to write/read basic sentences and understand the Chinese culture and history.
Our Mandarin teacher, Ms Katrina P, was born and raised in Taiwan.
Please contact the school for contact details for Katrina. Please place the fee in an envelope with your child’s full name and year, contact details and marked Mandarin Class and return it to the school office prior to Week 3.
