A word from the kitchen…
Hello children, parents and staff of John Colet I hope you are all enjoying the food and are also enjoying the new food that we are trying at the school. I know it’s often hard to try new things and it means a lot that the children are trying the new dishes. Quite often you can end up enjoying something when you take a chance on it.
I would like to thank the Tuesday morning choir children who use the hall. It makes getting up early and coming to work much easier – always nice to have some music while you work!
It would be a great help if parents of the children can make sure to read the menu week to week and assist in the packing of their children’s plates for school we are using too many of the spare plates, cups and bowls on a daily basis. The ladies who work in the kitchen work very hard and they are too often getting backed up with cleaning these extra items and slowing down the duties which they are here to do. I appreciate your understanding on this matter.
