Happy New Year Chess Enthusiasts!
Welcome back to our current students and welcome to all the new students at the school. I extend an invitation to all the students to join our wonderful club. We continue to build upon our success of recent years and look forward to many exciting chess games through 2013. All chess classes will commence in Week 2 beginning with the Intermediates on Monday (4th Feb).
Fencing
Fencing will be starting again in week two at Lunch Times. Beginners or more advanced Fencers are welcome.
Sailing Starts Now – Don’t miss out!
We are excited about a new Term of John Colet Sailing in 2013! Sailing runs every Saturday morning at Balmoral Beach from 8.30 am until 12pm for Term 1 and 4 and is open to Years 3, 4, 5 & 6.
No experience is necessary and all are welcome. The younger ones tend to go out for short runs with an experienced skipper and it’s mainly about having fun together and getting familiar with the boat. The older or more experienced get the chance to sail more independently and work in teams on the boats.
