Overview
School Structure
John Colet School is a K – 6, co-educational, standalone primary school. We are comprised of two classes per grade. One unique feature of our School is that teachers stay with the same class for three years in Infants, two years in 3rd and 4th Classes and two years in 5th and 6th Class . Continuity of care and support is crucial in primary education.
Location and Transport
Our School is nestled within a lovely bushland setting in Belrose, on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Transport to the school is good. A public school bus picks up children from Gordon Station and St Ives and there are other buses from the CBD, from the Frenchs Forest area, Chatswood, Forestville, Terrey Hills, Neutral Bay, Mosman and Seaforth.
School Hours
Our hours are from 8.25am – 3.05pm. Currently Infants students and their siblings can be collected from our pick-up zone from 2:50pm.
After School Care
After-school care is provided by Camp Australia on a regular or casual basis, through to 6pm. It provides a well organised program with afternoon tea, supervised homework and physical activity.
