Parents and Friends
The school has an active Parents & Friends Association, which offers a warm welcome to all new parents.
Its main roles are:
• To raise funds for the school
• To arrange enjoyable social events
• To maintain a network of communication between parents
The P&F meets monthly and details of upcoming meetings are published in the calendar.

Hello JCS parents and carers,How have your first two weeks gone? Are you back into the stride of things again, or if JCS is new to you, how are you finding your feet?We had an awesome turnout for our first P&F meeting on Monday, discussions were held on a variety of topics including Shakespeare costume and makeup, golf umbrellas for JCS, bringing back a mufti day, senior girls uniform and selling of second hand uniform to name but a few. Once again the Masquerade Party showed how the small but perfectly formed John Colet Community came together to raise money for the solar panels. We made a sizeable dent in the funds required by raising over $18k, which combined with the Walkathon money gets us to around half way towards the $42k target. The evening was a fun and social affair with past and present parents and friends of John Colet. Indu B started the evening off by singing a prayer and John B did a brilliant job as our MC and Auctioneer, keeping us in stitches with his humour. The venue is Checkers Conference Centre on Mona Vale Road, Terrey Hills. Can you help us with the next big JC P&F event – the Masquerade Ball Gala Dinner on Friday 8th September? I trust this finds you well. Last week we finally had sufficient sunshine to hold the events that had been postponed in Term 1. Here is a roundup of what has been and what is to come! Hot Cross Buns this may seem a dim and distant event, it raised over $300, a huge thank you to Manjula G for making it happen, to the admin staff who helped behind the scenes and the parents and children who helped get the buns out on the day! Hello we had another good meeting with a great exchange of information at the P&F meeting held on Monday the next meeting will be Monday 3rd April. There are a few calls for help this week as follows: Shakespeare Costume Person Required Roya A will be taking up study commitments later this year and needs to hand the responsibility of looking after the wardrobe over to another person. Roya will be available to show you the ropes during the Infants festival. If you have a reasonable amount of time you can give and are a fairly organised person this could be the role for you.
