The school has an active Parents & Friends Association, which offers a warm welcome to all new parents.
Its main roles are:
• To raise funds for the school
• To arrange enjoyable social events
• To maintain a network of communication between parents
The P&F meets monthly and details of upcoming meetings are published in the calendar.

Book Week Mania: Wednesday August 19th
Book week mania comes to John Colet on August 19th! Teachers and students please come to school dressed as your favourite book character, and bring along your favourite book to share and discuss with your class. Everyone is encouraged to bring a gold coin donation, and all proceeds from the day will go to a children’s literacy charity. The sky’s the limit when it comes to how everyone chooses to dress up; keep it simple or go all out – it’s up to you! All costumes will be appreciated but there will be no prizes for best dressed. CPR – train or refresh your skills
First Aid Training: Two sessions to choose from: Wednesday 3rd June Saturday 18th July Interested in First Aid Training by an accredited professional? The P&F is organising CPR Training on Wednesday 3rd June, from 7pm-9pm, at school and also on Saturday 18th July. The cost will be $55 per person ($75 with a certificate). It’s a great way to update your training for personal or professional reasons. The course is Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Course Code HTLAID001). Parents’ Roster: How you can help at Open Day
A few reminders, some gentle and some not so gentle… RosterMake sure you put yourself on one of the Rosters! Thank you to all those who have.We are looking for at least one hour per family. Remember first in best shifts! If we don t get sufficient volunteers by Wednesday we will need to look to a conscription model. We are being very brave and bold and trialling a new roster model via doodle. Having tried conscription, allocation and volunteering with mixed success we are going to give this a go.
