Parents and Friends
The school has an active Parents & Friends Association, which offers a warm welcome to all new parents.
Its main roles are:
• To raise funds for the school
• To arrange enjoyable social events
• To maintain a network of communication between parents
The P&F meets monthly and details of upcoming meetings are published in the calendar.

Back to school! Much happening behind the scenes at P&F. Open Day activities are well underway. Our thanks to the staff at school for coordinating the event this year. Parents will see more from Lucy B shortly. Our chess club is going from strength to strength, with the remarkable Simone Pietschner pulling a champion teacher out of her hat in Miro’s absence. The walkathon ran smoothly as usual. Please remember to send your money in. Get ready for our next Buy/Sell/Swap day – first week back Term 2.
We have received a some larger sized uniforms (boys and girls) and have loads of smaller sizes.If you need a back-up sports shirt or shorts, you should be in luck! If you have anything gathering dust in the back of the wardrobe, give it a soak – especially collars and cuffs – and pop along! Any summer uniforms that have been outgrown? Bring them in – swap them and save on your time spent sorting and packing away – a win win situation! From the P&F Corner The movie night was quite perfect. With around 40 families cosily ensconced in sleeping bags, vegan sausages on the BBQ, and a general atmosphere of joy, How to Train Your Dragon 2 took us to new heights of….something good. Special thanks to coordinators Linda and Laurie Z, BBQ-ers Marija and Kresho S and Chandra B, and tech support Jason C and Ray B. Our very own City to Surf, aka ‘The JCS Walkthon‘ is just around the corner, with the kids ready to do lap upon lap of the oval on Friday 20th March. Our new Vice President, Vik D, has hit the ground running with some new initiatives. He is working with the school on a LinkedIn group for parents. You may well see an invitation soon. Vik is also keen to start a Table Tennis group with parents. There have been a few keen parents. Please contact him if you’d like to have a shot at it. Our new Secretary, Clare J, is leading the charge on an initiative to build our own understanding of our school parent community. Movie Night – Sat 7th March
Movie night is back by popular demand. The P&F are starting the year with a relaxed summer evening together under the stars. Linda Zanella and team are getting the sound system organised for (drumroll……) How to Train a Dragon 2.
