In English, Year 4 have been looking at persuasive texts. Over the past few weeks they have looked at advertisements and how companies persuade us to buy their products. This week the children have created an advertising campaign for Rambashi’s Jungle Grill from our novel The Firework Maker’s Daughter by Philip Pullman. The children worked in pairs to create a billboard poster using the text as a reference and adding their own advertising ideas. They then wrote a script which they used to record an animated advertisement on the iPads. The children worked well together, managing their time between developing a script and finishing their billboard poster. The finished campaigns are full of imagination and creativity.
