Our two Year 4 classes, pictured below, had quite different plays and themes in the Shakespeare Festival held at Glen Street Theatre last week. The Merry Wives of Windsor was set to a Mad Men theme, as befitting the play’s context of women coming into their own and ‘finding their voice’. Our other 4th class did As You like it, to the theme of Grease, with lots of song and dance routines. All the plays were polished and exuberant and very enjoyable to watch.
This week the props and costumes have been packed away, and all the primary children are back to normal school work.
Although not quite… there are lots of singing rehearsals taking place for our John Colet Primary Choir, which is comprised of all our 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class students, and our John Colet Choir, which is smaller and students audition to join. Both choirs are preparing for our end of year Speech and Prize-giving night, held at the Concourse in Chatswood at the start of December.
