Sailing starts this term

Sailing Term 4 has started - Don t miss out!

Term 4 for John Colet Sailing is going to be a lot of fun! Our recently acquired rescue boat affords the kids a lot more autonomy on the boats, giving them the opportunity to race with each other or just to gain their own confidence on the water. Our Lasers are very easy to sail, perfect for novices and a lot of fun. They also happen be a recognised racing class boat so are great for the more experienced to get into racing.

John Colet Sailing runs every Saturday morning at Balmoral Beach from 8.30 am until 1.30am for Term 1 and 4 and  is open to Years 3, 4, 5 & 6. Fees are $140 per term. No experience is necessary and all are welcome, Boats, life jackets and training is all provided. The younger ones tend to go out for short runs with the an experienced skipper and its mainly about having fun together  and getting familiar with the boat. The older or more experienced get the chance to sail more independently and work in teams on the boats. Parents are welcome to join in and learn or just support from the beach.

We are enrolling  for Term 4, 2014. It is preferable (but not essential) that a parent is available to assist in rigging/derigging and sailing if interested.  Enrolment forms are available at the school office or by clicking here. Please  contact school parent Duncan MacLennan ph 0404 832 093 for more information or email him on Duncan.MacLennan@alliancesi.com.au
