One of the many parenting challenges is deciding whether to move your child if he or she doesn’t seem to be thriving at school. Perhaps your child is not being challenged and is getting bored, maybe you are concerned he or she is not learning to give their full attention, or perhaps you have concerns about their academic progress or social development. Even with any or all of these concerns, it’s still a hard decision for parents to change school.
That’s why we are holding a John Colet Taster Morning on Thursday 20th June from 8.30am to 11.30am, for students currently in Kindergarten and Year 2. It’s a fun, stress-free way for your son or daughter to get a feel for what our school is like.
At John Colet, we have seen many times how a change of school can have a significant beneficial impact on the continued progress of a child. One element at John Colet School that supports stability and often leads to families joining us mid-year is that our teachers remain with their classes over several years.
This enables greater connection between the parent, teacher and student and allows for extended continuity at this formative stage of development.
