One of the hidden glories of any successful institution is the amount of time and energy people give to it voluntarily. This, of course, includes paid staff who work over and above the letter of their contract, but it also includes many unpaid volunteers.
John Colet School could not long survive in its present form without the hundreds of small and the many large acts of volunteer help given daily, weekly and throughout the year.
The school community would love to show its gratitude to all of our volunteer helpers mostly parents of course. To do this I would like to invite anyone who has volunteered to help in any capacity whatsoever reading groups, Shakespeare make-up, providing classroom resources, accompanying an excursion to come to a special morning tea with me on Tuesday 25th November. It will be held in the MacLaren Hall (the Lunch Room) from 9.30 to 10.30 immediately after the Nativity Play and Christmas Celebration.
