Sport

Physical Education at our school is active, inclusive, and full of opportunity

At our school, we believe that a strong Physical Education program plays a vital role in developing confident, healthy, and active students. That’s why all students from Kindergarten to Year 6 enjoy two dedicated PE lessons each week, led by specialist teachers who create a fun and supportive environment where every child can thrive.
Our Infants and Primary students are given a wide range of opportunities to develop their fundamental movement skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship through a varied and exciting sports curriculum.

School Carnivals & Representative Sport

Each year, students compete in both our Athletics and Swimming Carnivals, which are highlights of the school calendar. These events foster school spirit and give every child the opportunity to challenge themselves and celebrate their achievements. Students who perform strongly may also qualify to represent the school at the IPSHA Swimming and Athletics Carnivals, competing against students from other independent schools in a supportive and exciting environment.

Inter-School Sport with the Peninsula Inter-school Sport Association

We’re proud to be a part of the Peninsula Inter-school Sport Association (PISA), where students in Years 3 to 6 can be selected to represent the school in a variety of sports from Term 1 to Term 3:
• Term 1: T-Ball, Softball, and Cricket
• Term 2: Boys Soccer, Mixed Netball, and Mixed Ultimate Frisbee
• Term 3: Girls Soccer, Eagle Tag, and Modified AFL
These inter-school competitions allow students to compete in a supportive environment, build school spirit, and develop their skills in real game situations.

Friendly Matches & Gala Days

Beyond the regular PISA competition, we also participate in friendly matches throughout the year in sports such as basketball, giving more students the chance to be involved in team sports and experience the joy of playing against other schools.
Our students also have the opportunity to participate in special gala days, including popular events such as the Todd Woodbridge Cup, which provide them with the chance to showcase their skills and meet peers from other schools.

Swimming and Surf Lifesaving

In Term 4, the program takes full advantage of our coastal location:
• Infants (K–2) participate in swimming lessons, helping them build confidence and essential water safety skills.
• Primary students (Years 3–6) take part in Surf Lifesaving sessions, a much-loved component of the program that teaches beach safety and ocean awareness in a fun and practical way.

Before- and after-school sport programs

Our PE program is designed not only to develop physical ability, but also to nurture resilience, collaboration, and a lifelong love of being active. Whether it’s on the court, in the pool, or on the beach, our students are encouraged to give their best, support each other, and have fun along the way.
